I like to walk my dogs in the woods away from people and traffic. I also like to walk new areas for exercise and find places to make bait stations and new trapping spots I may have missed before.
I use to shoot recurve and compound bow, but kind of gave that up. I also use to be fanatical about putting up deer stands. One time I had 28 different tree stands out at one time... all the commercial aluminum and steel ones, no wooden built ones.
I don't fish like I use to. I even had the boat, trailer and motor and still didn't go out. Got burned out living near a lake and fished too much as a kid. LOL!
You know, thinking about it, I don't have many hobbies in the summer like I use to. I guess being in the shop making things and putzin around is something I like to do.
How about you? What's keeping you busy and what sort of hobbies do you have?

I like spending time with the Grandkids, hunting groundhogs, doing a little gardening, but most of all, "Daydreaming & thinking about Trapping".

I think this computer thing is my biggest hobby lately. I really like catfishing but with a new son I find I don't have as much time to do alot of it. lol! I do get to the river to set ditty poles every so often but not much rod and reeling lately.

Hobby? Isn`t a hobby something you do to have fun? Everything I do turns into work. After my full time job as a lineman I have a lawn care buisness. Mowing lawns and trimming trees. Then in the evening my Gun Shop is open for buisness. In my spare time I raise quail for pleasure. bobwhites, Gambles, Valleys, Blue Scaled, and Mountain. Go to the kids games, and school activities. I use to fish a lot but I guess I got tired of it. Been out once this year. Still love to bow hunt for deer and love a good quail hunt.

Model rockets? LOL! That brings back many memories!
Long story short on one of them... our class was making them one session and I ended up sabotaging 3 other's rockets: One I cut the parachute strings so the rocket "crash" landed, second I glued the rocket tip on the vessel so the final stage engine didn't blow it off and that too "crash" landed and the 3rd was the 2nd biggest rocket launched that day and I switched engines so it didnt' have enough power to completely lift off the ground. It hovered in mid-air about 11 feet up, then tumbled sideways and fell to the ground... LOL!
I had the biggest rocket of the class and the 2nd biggest rocket was just launched before me and I was last, so NO ONE thought my rocket was even going to leave the pad... but it did! I don't know... 300 feet at least!
I also used my rocket launcher once to set off a fireworks rocket that was secured to my rocket launch pad guide pole, but veered off after leaving the pad, crashed into the neighbor's sideyard fence area and started a fire that the fire department was called to put out the flames. ;D
