I like this set location the moment I found it. The only problem was that the area was wide open and flat from all the beaver and otter activity. There was also no entanglement, as I strictly neck snare otter and I didn't have a kill pole or extra stakes with me. I ended up setting the snare for live catch... or was expecting a live catch due to the lack of entanglement. I punched in a few holes on both sides of the main run to push grass into them to make it look like they grew there to narrow the set, then anchored and blended snare in. Snareman

Man I wish we had otters here. The state released some here in Kansas several years ago but they were in the southern part. Probably all swam to Oklahoma by now.

Same here, The DNR realeased some a few years back in a river about ten miles away from me but there isnt any on my local river. besides there ilegal to trap here in Ia
