Had a very small line out last year - less than 12 sets out but remembered the camera on a few . These two foxes were from behind my house and caught back to back in two nights. As you can see in the one photo , I was experimenting with tyvek paper for pan cover .

Thanks , I have been trying to get my photos hosted but wasn't having much luck , but I have a good host site now. Anyways, The traps are Bridger #3 modified completely out , the set was a dirt hole and the bait was a spoonful of deer stomach contents mixed with deer blood . YUUUUM ,YUM ;D . It's a real natural call after gun season and the predators are looking for gut piles ! .

Wow, really?I knew that they eat the gut piles, but never would've guessed using it for bait. Do you throw anything in a blender, or just chop t up? You guys should put up a bait recipe page. It'd be real helpful, havin' everyone submit their own recipes. Now the 3s, where they originally yote sets, or were you targeting them fox?

They were set for critters ! LOL They are my all around traps , I will use them in spring to front foot beaver , in the fall for everything but rats and mink . 2-1/4 lb pan tension . I save the contents of deer stomach , mix it with the deer blood ( about 50/50 , add sodium bensoate . No need to grind it , the deer have done that for ya already . This is a secret bait - I am only telling you !

Yes they are . We have enough coyotes around that this is my prefered fox - coyote trap. With center hook up and good swiveling , & short chains, you can treat the foxes very well.

I have also used #3s as my main trap since the mid 70s took some heat on them from a few over the years, but they paw catch and are easy to bed. Nice picts wish I could get some on here
